TNA TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH: The British Invasion retained over The Motor City Machine Guns – 7
PPV che parte con un buon match, con i McMg in grande forma. Le cinture restano però ancora saldamente nelle mani della British Invasion: ancora una prova con più ombre che luci per Brutus Magnus, lontano dall’essere un performer convincente. Il dubbio è quanto potrà ancora resistere Doug Williams da solo.

KNOCKOUTS TITLE MATCH: Tara defeated ODB to become the new TNA Knockouts Champion – 5
Netto passo indietro rispetto al mese precedente: speriamo almeno che Tara sappia sfruttare la cintura con un buon Title Reign.

FEAST OR FIRED MATCH: The cases revealed the following: Samoa Joe won a shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Title, Kevin Nash won a Tag Team Title shot, Big Rob of The British Invasion won an X Division Title shot and Sheik Abdul Bashir was fired – 5.5
Ho già espresso i miei dubbi sul match, molto al di sotto di ogni aspettativa.

EIGHT MAN ELIMINATION MATCH: It came down to Team 3D vs. “The Blueprint” Matt Morgan, with Morgan overcoming the odds to finally beat Brother Ray with a big boot for the win – 5
Altra delusione: match confuso e confusionario, con ancora una volta una stipula poco chiara. Morgan aspetta diligentemente il suo turno, speriamo che arrivi presto. Anche Dinero mi pare sprecato per queste contese, mentre Suicide sembra in crisi d’identità.

LAST MAN STANDING MATCH: Bobby Lashley defeated Scott Steiner after Kristal helped her husband by tossing him a steel pipe, followed by a spear by Lashley for the pin – 5.5
Primo match deludente di Steiner da un po’ di tempo a questa parte: calo fisiologico o colpa dell’avversario? Lashley non è ancora entrato nei cuori della iMPACT! Zone e dubito che lo farà con questo tipo di match. Da ricordare solamente la FrankenSteiner di Scott, comunque in un momento di forma ancora più che buono. Aspettiamo di vedere ora i due wrestlers impegnati in storie più interessanti.

HARDCORE MATCH: Abyss and Mick Foley defeated Raven and Dr. Stevie when Abyss beat Dr. Stevie after interference by Daffney backfired – 7
Con la penuria di emozioni vissuta questa sera, un match almeno divertente e godibile, in pieno stile hardcore e con un volo di Foley da ricordare.

3 DEGREES OF PAIN MATCH: Kurt Angle defeated Desmond Wolfe after escaping the cage in fall #3. Wolfe won the first fall via pin with the Tower Of London, Angle won the 2nd via submission with the Ankle Lock, then Angle won the 3rd and final fall by climbing out of the cage, beating Wolfe who tried to escape by crawling out the door – 8.5
Da qui comincia un altro PPV: due match fantastici che confermano lo spettacolare stato di forma dei main eventer della federazione. Angle e Wolfe danno vita ad un match che è stato descritto in tutti i modi, ma tutti gli aggettivi sembrano riduttivi nei confronti di questa impresa.

TNA WORLD TITLE MATCH: “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles defeated Daniels to retain the championship, winning an amazing match with a top rope Styles Clash in the end! After the bout, Styles celebrated in the ring as Daniels walked away in shame – 8.5
Come sopra! Ed ora AJ aspetta proprio Kurt!

Final Resolution – 7.5
Un PPV cominciato bene, proseguito male e piano piano risalito, fino all’apoteosi dei due incontri finali. Avrebbe potuto essere un successo come e più di Turning Point, ma la fase centrale è purtroppo sembrata più una brutta puntata di iMPACT! che il PPV finale del 2009. Ora aspettiamo il prossimo 4 gennaio ed un certo Hulk Hogan!
