Puntata di iMPACT! pre-Slammiversary, Pay Per View principe dell’estate TNA!

Si avvicina la sfida di domenica per il campione mondiale in carica, RVD, e lo sfidante Sting. I due non se le mandano di certo a dire: prima Sting attacca RVD durante un’intervista e gli ruba la cintura; poi The Icon sfregia la stessa cintura con la parola deception; infine, i due si ritrovano sul ring per una rissa che anticipa lo scontro di domenica!

Puntata che vede il ritorno sul ring TNA di un altro protagonista della federazione recentemente costretto ad una lunga assenza: stiamo parlando di Hernandez, che torna e si dedica subito al suo ex-partner Matt Morgan, anche qui in un antipasto di quello che vedremo domenica prossima a Slammiversary! Nuova puntata di iMPACT! sulla strada che conduce a Slammiversary! La card dell’evento sta prendendo corpo: anche Hardy, Mr. Anderson e Kurt Angle saranno tra i protagonisti dello spettacolo in Pay Per View del prossimo 13 giugno!

Puntata che si apre con un no contest tra Sting e Samoa Joe, ma rivedremo i due nel main event della serata con l’aggiunta di RVD e Matt Morgan! Sembra consumarsi anche il divorzio tra AJ Styles e Ric Flair, ma AJ vuole riguadagnare la fiducia del suo mentore sfidando Jay Lethal al prossimo PPV. Dopo la puntata della scorsa settimana, in cui Kurt Angle ha rifiutato la seconda posizione nel Ranking System per mettersi al servizio dello spettacolo e dei fans TNA, comincia la sua scalata contro il #10 Contender: lo vedremo infatti sfidare Kazarian a Slammiversary!

Dopo tempo immemore Samoa Joe e Matt Morgan tornano a combattere in un main event, con l’ombra di Hernandez sullo sfondo! A Slammiversary avremo anche la coppia Hardy – Mr. Anderson in azione: contro di loro i Beer Money Inc.! Bentornati su italianimpact.com, giusto in tempo per la nuova puntata dello show settimanale targato TNA!

Spettacolo targato TNA ma anche Slammiversary: il prossimo show a pagamento della federazione è infatti sempre più vicino, ed il campione mondiale RVD ed il suo avversario Sting lo sanno molto bene!

A Slammiversary vedremo la resa dei conti tra Brother Ray e Jesse Neal, questa volta in un match one-on-one. Anche Kurt Angle è ormai tornato in pianta stabile ad iMPACT! e questa settimana riprende alcuni vecchi discorsi con un paio di vecchi amici: Matt Morgan e Samoa Joe! Storia che si preannuncia molto interessante, con tre calibri da 90 coinvolti ed i titoli di coppia sullo sfondo! Titoli di coppia ancora saldamente alla vita di Nash e soci, così come quelli femminili non sembrano avere intenzione di mollare le Beautiful Peolple (e non è certo possibile dar loro torto…).

Un’altra interessante situazione è quella che si sta creando tra Mr. Anderson e Jeff Hardy: dopo la stretta di mano rifiutata da Hardy la scorsa settimana, questa volta è proprio il Charismatic Enigma ad aiutare il lottatore di Green Bay nel main event che lo vedeva opposto ad AJ Styles! Nuova puntata di iMPACT! post-Sacrifice, come al solito da non perdere sul nostro canale YouTube!

Si parte con l’annuncio da parte di Eric Bischoff del nuovo #1 Contender al titolo mondiale dei pesi massimi: si tratta nientemeno che di Sting! E’ infatti l’Icon il lottatore al primo posto nel Ranking System targato Bischoff, e questa sera lo stesso lottatore affronterà nel main event Jeff Hardy!

Serata caratterizzata da ritorni illustri: rivediamo calcare il ring Roxxi e – soprattutto – Kurt Angle!

Inoltre, continua il feud tra il Global Champ Rob Terry ed Orlando Jordan; Brother Ray e Jesse Neal sono ormai ai ferri corti; Jay Lethal torna sul ring in un match di coppia al fianco di RVD, senza più la gimmick di Black Machismo ma con Ric Flair che continua ad avercela con lui a seguito dell’ormai famosa imitazione di qualche settimana fa! Non dimentichiamoci poi di Abyss, che deve riscuotere il suo premio dopo la vittoria di Sacrifice: Chelsea! A seguire, la card completa della serata:

- In a #1 Contenders Match, The Motor City Machine Guns defeated Beer Money and Team 3D when Chris Sabin beat Brother Ray after James Storm spit beer in his face.
- “The Freak” Rob Terry successfully defended the Global Championship against Orlando Jordan by using his “Freakbuster” finisher (chokslam/spinebuster combination)
- Douglas Williams beat Kaz to once again become the undisputed X Division Champion
- In the Knockouts Title match, Madison Rayne defeated Tara to retain the gold. As a result, Tara’s TNA Wrestling career is over
- The Band successfully defended the TNA Tag Team Title against Ink Inc when Brother Ray of Team 3D cost Jesse Neal the match
- Abyss defeated Desmond Wolfe with a Black Hole Slam in the “Ring vs. Chelsea” match. As a result, Abyss gets control of Chelsea for 30 days!
- In an amazing, back-and-forth match, “The Charismatic Enigma” Jeff Hardy pulled off the win against Mr. Anderson after hitting the Swanton Bomb. After the bout, Anderson offered Hardy a handshake, but the Charismatic Enigma left the ring.
- Sting unleashed a brutal attack on Jeff Jarrett even before their match began, using his baseball bat to apparently separate Jarrett’s shoulder and bloody him badly. Sting brought Jarrett in the ring and got the quick win with the Scorpion Deathlock over his injured nemesis. Medical officials tried to put Jarrett on a stretcher, but Sting knocked him off. This brought out Hulk Hogan, who chased him off while Sting mocked him!
- TNA World Heavyweight Champion Rob Van Dam successfully defended the gold against “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles in the main event by beating him with the Frog Splash. During the bout, Jay Lethal came out to neutralize “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair and kept him from interfering in the bout.

TNA WORLD TITLE
AJ STYLES VS. ROB VAN DAM – Rivincita tra due dei protagonisti principali della federazione. RVD difende per la prima volta il suo titolo in PPV, mettendolo in palio contro l’ex campione dal dente avvelenato. Poche possibilità in realtà per AJ, il regno di RVD ha tutte le caratteristiche per durare a lungo, almeno fino a Slammiversary.

STING VS. JEFF JARRETT – Operazione nostalgia targata Hogan che prosegue a pieno regime, con due vecchie glorie pronte a darsi battaglia. Non siamo di certo a livello di Nash & Hall: Jarrett è sicuramente pronto all’incontro, ma come si presenterà Sting dopo lo stop dello scorso Ottobre? Risultato in bilico, ma la vendetta di Sting non si può di certo fermare al primo ostacolo…

MR. ANDERSON VS. JEFF HARDY – Potenziale match da cinque stelle tra due predestinati: il vincitore del feud (che non si esaurirà di certo qui) sarà probabilmente il prossimo contendente al titolo mondiale, con un interessante, possibile scontro tra gli amici Hardy e RVD. Anche qui incontro con risultato in bilico, in attesa del re-match che di certo non mancherà! Un pronostico? Mr.Anderson.

TNA TAG TEAM TITLE
INK INC VS. SCOTT HALL & KEVIN NASH – Continua la triste storia delle cinture di coppia, ormai maltrattate a più non posso. Moore e Neal sono tutto sommato più che accettabili ed hanno dimostrato un’ottima chimica di squadra. Ogni commento è superfluo sugli attuali campioni. Anzi no: Hall si presenterà? Su questo nessuno ci può mettere la mano sul fuoco, sul risultato non penso che gli Ink Inc. abbiano la meglio alla prima occasione, quindi…

X DIVISION TITLE
DOUGLAS WILLIAMS VS. KAZARIAN – Kaz – il campione senza cintura – sfida Williams, privato del titolo a causa del vulcano islandese. Due atleti di primo livello, che sanno combinare perfettamente tecnica ed atletismo. Mi auguro vivamente di vedere un bel match, che serva a risollevare le sorti della X Division ed a convincere Hogan e Bischoff di non trovarsi di fronte alla brutta copia della categoria Cruiserweight della wCw. Finalmente Kaz avrà la tanto agognata cintura.

CHELSEA VS. RING
DESMOND WOLFE VS. ABYSS – Si disputerà? Non si disputerà? Non che la cosa interessi molto, onestamente…

GLOBAL TITLE MATCH
ORLANDO JORDAN VS. ROB TERRY – Match dell’ultimo minuto, nato dalla poca simpatia che il campione ha dimostrato nei confronti dello show di Jordan. Tra l’altro lo stesso Jordan torna a combattere in PPV dopo tempo immemore (potrei sbagliarmi, ma così a memoria penso sia il suo debutto in PPV dall’arrivo in TNA), durante il quale era sparito anche da iMPACT! senza che nessuno ne avesse sentito, onestamente, la mancanza. Conferma per Rob, in attesa di capire cosa farci col titolo in questione e con il suo detentore.

CAREER VS. KNOCKOUTS TITLE
TARA VS. MADISON RAYNE – Match che ha pochissimo da dire, una vincitrice designata (ovviamente Madison) ed il persistere dell’imbarazzante situazione della categoria femminile.

#1 CONTENDER MATCH
BEER MONEY VS. MOTOR CITY MACHINE GUNS VS. TEAM 3D – Uno dei match più interessanti ed attesi, nonostante la pessima gestione recente delle cinture di coppia da parte della federazione. E se Jesse Neal vincesse il titolo ed il Team 3D questo match per il #1 contender?

Chiudiamo col menzionare due possibili mine vaganti: vedremo anche in PPV intervenire Samoa Joe? E come avrà preso Matt Morgan la perdita delle cinture di coppia?

Nuova puntata di iMPACT!, show settimanale TNA tornato al giovedì e pronto a dare il benvenuto a Sacrifice, PPV mensile che vedrà il re-match per il titolo tra RVD e AJ Styles. Puntata che vede proprio i due di fronte nel main event, con l’aggiunta di Jeff Hardy. Match vinto da AJ a causa dell’intrusione di Mr. Anderson, poco gradita da Hardy in vista del loro match programmato per Sacrifice!

Puntata caratterizzata sostanzialmente da due fatti: la presunta aggressione di Abyss a Chelsea, che costa al mostro probabilmente la partecipazione a Sacrifice, visto che lascia la iMPACT! Zone a bordo di una volante; inoltre, abbiamo dei nuovi campioni di coppia: Nash & Hall approfittano della Muscle Buster di Samoa Joe e non hanno difficoltà a strappare le cinture a Matt Morgan!  Come gestire ora i due dinosauri, con tanto di cinture alla vita? Mah…

A seguire, i risultati dell’evento:

- Tara sconfigge Taylor Wilde ;

- Kendrick sconfigge Williams;

- Gen Me vs. Morgan viene interrotto dall’intervento di Samoa Joe che mette  K.O. Morgan, consentendo così a Nash & Hall di diventare i nuovi TNA World Tag Team Champions;

- Ink Inc. sconfiggono Team 3D, Beer Money Inc. e Motorcity Machine Guns;

- Rob Terry vs. Abyss non comincia neanche, visto che Abyss viene portato via dalla polizia appena prima del match , con Terry già pronto sul quadrato;

- Orlando Jordan sconfigge Tomko, dopo aver aggredito Rob Terry;

- Tara sconfigge Sarita;

- AJ Styles sconfigge Jeff Hardy e RVD a causa dell’interferenza di Mr. Anderson, che viene colpito da una spettacolare Swanton Bomb connessa da Hardy addirittura dal tavolo dei commentatori!

Vittoria dunque per Orlando Jordan e per Tara, capace di sconfiggere entrambe le sue avversarie della serata, in attesa di mettere in palio la sua carriera a Sacrifice! Resta aperta la questione dell’aggressione subita da Chelsea: è stata realmente opera di Abyss? A giudicare da questo video ripreso da Lacey con il cellulare non sembrerebbe proprio! Non perdetevi ovviamente tutte le migliori immagini della serata sul nostro canale YouTube!

Nuova puntata di iMPACT! con l’annuncio del ritorno al giovedì sera a partire dal prossimo 13 maggio. Puntata che vede RVD difendere il titolo mondiale dall’assalto del preferito del pubblico Desmond Wolfe. Inoltre, Hogan decide di regalare l’anello di Flair a Jay Lethal, che si produce in una perfetta imitazione del Nature Boy (non propriamente gradita dall’originale); infine, la puntata si conclude col confronto tra Sting eHulk Hogan: non è qualcosa tra Sting e la TNA, ma tra Sting e Hogan!  A seguire, la card dell’evento:

Vittorie per le Beautiful People, AJ, RVD e l’inedita alleanza tra Shannon Moore e Jesse Neal, vale a dire gli Ink Inc. Finisce in no contest il match con protagonista il Team 3D, mentre Hogan e Sting si affrontano al termine della puntata prima dell’irrompere di Jeff Jarrett! AJ Styles ottiene inoltre ciò che vuole: avrà un re-match per il titolo a Sacrifice!

Eric Bischoff ha deciso, appoggiato in tutto e per tutto da Dixie Carter e Hulk Hogan, che i fans della TNA avranno la possibilità di farsi sentire (per dirla all’inglese, “make an iMPACT!”) attraverso il sito ufficiale TNA: come? Votando il lottatore che a loro parere si merita maggiormente una Title Shot! La classifica stilata con i voti dei fans (che terrà anche conto di altri parametri, come la carriera del wrestler ed il suo record di vittorie e sconfitte) sarà rivista mensilmente ed assumerà il nome di Top 10 Contenders Ranking! La prima classifica verrà diramata durante la puntata di iMPACT! del prossimo 17 maggio!

- The broadcast kicked off with Hulk Hogan introducing new TNA World Heavyweight Champion Rob Van Dam – which brought out former champion AJ Styles and Ric Flair to talk trash with their enemies!

- Madison Rayne retained the Knockouts Championship against Tara and Angelina Love. In the end, Rayne shoved Love into Tara, sending her flying out of the ring. Rayne then rolled up Love for the win. After the bout, Tara and Angelina Love brawled and continued their war!

- Kazarian retained the X Division Championship against “The Prince Of Punk” Shannon Moore after the TNA World Tag Team Champions Matt Morgan cost Moore the bout by pushing him off the top rope. Kazarian then hit a reverse piledriver for the win. After the bout, Samoa Joe came out and viciously assaulted the champion!

- In a huge tag team bout, the tandem of AJ Styles and Sting defeated Jeff Jarrett and Jeff Hardy after Sting brutalized Jarrett in the rafters with a baseball bat for the pin and the win. Hardy was set to hit a huge move off the ladder in the ring on Styles, but Sting beat him to the victory before Hardy could pull off the move!

- “The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero came out to talk to his fans about his match at Lockdown as well as his recent injuries, but Mr. Anderson tried to steal his spotlight. After Pope pimp-slapped Anderson for his disrespect, Anderson attacked Pope and tried to re-injure his eye.

- Team 3D attacked and bloodied Syxx-Pac in the backstage area, putting him through a table and telling him to deliver a message of warning to Kevin Nash and Scott Hall! Team 3D hit the ring to take on Matt Morgan and Jesse Neal, but it was only a matter of time before Hall and Nash hit the arena to brawl with Team 3D! During the melee, Matt Morgan took his opportunity to annihilate his partner Jesse Neal with a chokeslam.

- Later, Jesse Neal called Matt Morgan back out for a fight. Morgan said he was “off the clock”, but then Hulk Hogan told Morgan to go face Neal – or face the wrath of Hogan! Morgan went out to face Neal, and Neal got some good offense in before Morgan was about to hurt him again. However, before Morgan could do so, Shannon Moore hit the ring to chase off Morgan – and shook hands with Jesse Neal!

- A bloodied Ric Flair used brass knuckles and a low blow to try to beat Abyss, but referee Earl Hebner found the weapon and restarted the match. Abyss quickly hit the Black Hole Slam for the pin on the legend – claiming ownership of Flair’s Hall of Fame ring! After the bout, Hogan told Flair he would give the ring to someone else next week!

ABBIAMO UN NUOVO CAMPIONE MONDIALE! Proprio così: la puntata di iMPACT! post – Lockdown incorona RVD nuovo campione mondiale dei pesi massimi! - Hulk Hogan announced that Jeff Hardy and Rob Van Dam would face each other on the huge broadcast, with the winner facing AJ Styles for the World Title later in the broadcast!

- The Beautiful People successfully defended the Knockouts Tag Team Championship against Daffney and ODB

- It was announced Ric Flair would be barred from the World Title match. Flair also made a challenge to Team Hogan to fight on the broadcast. Later, Abyss and Jeff Jarrett accepted the challenge, which brought out Flair, Sting, Beer Money and Desmond Wolfe who attacked Abyss and Jarrett – until “The Freak” Rob Terry came out to save Abyss and Jarrett! Rob Terry stepped up big time! Eric  Bischoff came out and made the match official, and said he had someone in the back who would team with Abyss, Jarrett and Terry!

- Backstage, Matt Morgan approached Shannon Moore and told him TNA management was forcing him to choose a partner for a Tag Team Title match against Team 3D next week. Morgan asked Moore to be his partner, but Moore told him to kiss his ass!

- In an awesome match, Rob Van Dam beat Jeff Hardy with the top rope Frog Splash after Hardy missed the Swanton! RVD now advances to face AJ Styles for the World Title later on.

- After a break, RVD and Hardy were backstage and went over the highlights of their match. Hardy told RVD he supported him in his World Title shot later.

- Samoa Joe made his surprise return to TNA Wrestling, joining the side of Jeff Jarrett, Abyss and Rob Terry to defeat Team Flair! After being the last entrant in the bout, Joe tagged in, cleaned house and hit the Musclebuster on Robert Roode for the win. After the match, an intense Samoa Joe immediately left the arena, leaving Jarrett, Abyss and Rob Terry in total shock!

- In the Main Event of the night, Rob Van Dam became the NEW TNA World Heavyweight Champion by defeating AJ Styles! In the end, RVD hit his top rope Frog Splash after AJ missed a springboard from the outside! The Impact Zone erupted as RVD was awarded the gold and confetti fell from the top of the arena! Jeff Hardy, Hulk Hogan, TNA President Dixie Carter, Jeff Jarrett and the rest of the roster came out to congratulate the new World Heavyweight Champion as iMPACT went off the air!
